I love to laugh, I love to cycle, I love to watch hockey, I love to play tennis.  BUT I am driven to create, assemble, bake, cook, sauté, braze, chop/toss food that is bursting with flavor and feeds my body what it craves – fuel to live and enjoy those other things that I love to do.  It’s a self-serving cycle, I admit, but it’s a joyous one, and I simply can’t see living any other way.

I earned my degrees in Public Health, working at USC in Education and Disease Prevention for 10 years. With two young children, I decided to stay closer to home and focus solely on my passion of cooking and regain control of my time.  One idea led to another, and the wild thought of creating a food product, packaging and selling it inspired me to create a gourmet marshmallow company named Plush Puffs.

We offered five different flavors, a few custom items (marshmallow birthday cakes) and landed big customers such as Starbucks and Panera Bread.  BUT over the course of 18 years, it took a toll on my health with a variety of issues that screamed “time to sell”.

I was approached by someone in my network interested in adding gourmet marshmallows to his line of products and a few months later, I sold the company.  I was very lucky with the timing as the pandemic and lockdown occurred 1 month later.

Now, as a newly minted grand-mother, I am focused on cooking and eating whole, unprocessed, colorful, mostly organic foods and sharing my knowledge on healthy eating with the world.
